MirathPro — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

MirathPro respects your privacy. This policy explains what the app is for, what information it handles, how that information is stored in the cloud and on your device, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using MirathPro you agree to this policy.

1. Purpose of the App

MirathPro is an educational tool created to assist with Islamic inheritance (Mīrāth / ʿIlm al-Farāʾiḍ) cases. It helps you estimate how an estate is distributed among heirs according to the majority (jumhūr) method, with transparent step-by-step explanations and references. It is an aid for learning and preparation — it does not replace a qualified scholar, mufti, or Kadhi (Islamic court).

2. Religious Disclaimer — Confirm Before Acting

Inheritance is a serious religious and legal matter. The results produced by this app are estimates based on the information you enter and may not cover every juristic difference, exception, or real-world circumstance. For any ambiguous, disputed, or complex case — and before distributing any wealth — you must confirm the outcome with a qualified scholar or a recognised Kadhi / Islamic court. The developer accepts no liability for decisions made solely on the basis of the app’s output.

3. Information We Collect

To create an account the app stores the name, email address and password you provide. To calculate a case it stores the estate details you enter (assets, debts, bequests and the relatives involved). If you subscribe, payment is handled by the app store’s billing system (Google Play Billing on Android, the App Store on iOS) or, on the web, by our payment provider (Pesapal); we store only your subscription status and expiry date — never your full card or mobile-money details. If you use the scholar chat or community Q&A, the messages and questions you send are stored so they can be delivered (community questions are shown anonymously). To deliver notifications (such as a scholar's reply or an answer to your question), the app registers a push-notification token for your device. If you report a message, question or answer, a copy of that content and the reason you give are stored so our team can review it. The app does not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or any device tracking data.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your account and your estate cases are stored securely in the cloud using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) and are also cached on your own device, so the app loads quickly and keeps working offline. Data sent between the app and the server is protected with encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication and are never stored by us in plain text. Cloud servers may be located outside your country.

5. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only to operate the app for you: to sign you in, to save and reopen your cases, and to produce inheritance reports. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or build a profile of you.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising. We use trusted service providers only to run the app: Google Firebase (cloud database, sign-in and push notifications), the app-store billing systems (Google Play / App Store) and Pesapal (to process web subscription payments). They process your data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. Scholar chats are private — visible only to you and that scholar — and community questions are shown anonymously. Reports you export or share (for example as a PDF) are shared only by you, deliberately, through the apps you select. The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

To keep the community safe, you can report any message, question, answer or user, and you can block other users so you no longer see their content. Reported content is reviewed by our moderators and may be removed, and accounts that break the rules may be suspended.

7. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), sign-in managed by Google Firebase, and server-side security rules that keep every estate case and private chat readable only by its owner and intended recipient. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your password confidential and protect the device on which the app is installed.

8. Children’s Privacy

MirathPro is intended for adults handling estate matters and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so it can be removed.

9. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You stay in control of your data. You can edit or delete any case at any time from within the app, change your password, and request deletion of your account. Deleting a case or your account removes that data from our cloud database. Because your data is stored in the cloud, simply uninstalling the app does not delete your account — sign in and delete your data, or contact us using the details below and we will remove it.

For step-by-step instructions, including exactly which data is deleted and which is kept, see our Account & Data Deletion page.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the app evolves or to meet legal and app-store requirements. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
